Just around the corner of the bidding for the K-DNA project...The competition for the consortium has been won.

The bidding competition to win the right to the national bio-data business (K-DNA) project promoted by the government is growing. Major genetic analysis companies in Korea have formed a consortium to announce the outcome of the real test.

It is expected that the consortium, Terrazen Bio, DNA Link, and Macrogen, will be formed by five companies, including EEDGC, Clinomics, Medizen Human Care, RapzinoMix, and Canterop, and it will be a two-way race so far.

Consortiums of five companies, EDGC, Clinomics, Medizen Human Care, RapzinoMix and Canterop, are showing their willingness to win active orders. The five-company consortiums claim their representation as the first consortium established through the Korea Bio Association's Council of Genetic Enterprises for K-DNA projects.

In addition, the consortium of the five companies expects the order to change the topography of Korean genetic analysis and diagnosis companies.

As of the 6th, EDGC and RapzinoMix, which belong to a consortium of five companies, reached 1.285 trillion won, more than double the combined 546.8 billion won of DNA Link and Macrogen, which belong to a consortium of three companies.

EDGC, which belongs to a consortium of five companies, said, "The consortium of five companies can prevent monopolization of single platform operators in the future with multiple platforms (sequencing equipment)," adding, "We are providing experiences in developing clinic products using genetic information and a number of services, so we can expand cooperative (base) hospitals and precision medical services across the country." The use of genetic big data is not an option but a necessity as it shifts from post-care focus to personalized treatment and preventive care," he said.
