EDGC to support Polar research activities

EDGC made an announcement on May 29 that the company has signed a business agreement with Korea Polar Research Institute to support all services such as COVID-19 test kits, antibody detection kits, readers and measuring devices to keep Korea’s south-polar area is safe from the pandemic.

 

Major business cooperation between the two organizations includes 1) supply and installation of COVID-19 diagnostic inspection equipment in the South Pole Sejong Science Base, Antarctic Report Science Base, and icebreaker Araon, 2) conduct COVID-19 testing, 3) information exchange, and 4) establishment of the COVID-19 inspection system in Korea's south-polar region to strengthen the competitiveness of Korea's medical diagnosis technology and increase the efficiency of polar research activities.

 

Dr. Lee Min-seob, co-president of EDGC said, “This cooperation is significant as we will put our effort to protect those who are facing COVID-19 from around the world by using K-Quarantine’s key competency, accurate and fast diagnosis. We believe this will ensure the various studies conducted by the Polar Research Institute are carried out safely.”
