EDGC announced on March 27 that its affiliate, SolGent will export 100,000 units of the first shipment of the COVID-19 diagnostic kits to Ukraine at the request of President Vladimir Zelensky of Ukraine.

According to EDGC, the Ukrainian government, which recently announced a state of emergency against COVID-19, compared diagnostic kits of several countries and decided to import SolGent’s DiaPlexQ Novel Coronavirus urgently, as the government saw it superior to others. Ukraine’s presidential office and Ukrainian Ambassador to Seoul, Alexander Horin, made an emergency request for kits’ shipment on 22th.

“We are receiving many government-level requests for exporting test kits, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and so on.” CEO of SolGent, You Jae-hyung said. “The U.S. has allowed state governments to supply diagnostic kits through EDGC’s network.”
