EDGC, the genomic big data company, announced that it achieved 17.1 billion won in sales in the second quarter of this year.

EDGC hereby accomplished sales of 28.4 billion in the first half of this year and exceeded last year's total sales of 21.4 billion won.

A company official explained, "Sales increased more than 13 times from the same period of last year, and 57% higher than the first quarter of this year".

Also, the performance of the company is improving as its operating loss has decreased by nearly 30% compared to the first quarter due to increased sales.

EDGC will proceed with sales expansion of global genome-based services; driving online sales service of genetic testing in the USA, setting deals with GBI(sales corporation of BGI) to target a Chinese pet market, and deals with UMH to target a Hongkong genomic market.

Yoo Jae-Hyung, a vice president of EDGC, said, "We will do our best to achieve this year's sales goal and improve our performance by inducing innovative pipelines, global sales, and marketing networks through our research and development capabilities for precise genomic services, big data analysis technology".
