EDGC signed an agreement with Chung-Ang University Hospital and Chung-Ang University Software department to cooperate in medical artificial intelligence (AI) research and academic/industrial cooperation to develop customized diagnosis and medical services on 9th.

This agreement includes human resources and academic exchanges for creating research foundation, information sharing and support for new business planning and technology development, and academic-industrial research/data cooperation on artificial intelligence. It is developing customized AI medical services using genetic big data for the first time in Korea.

“If R&D is carried out based on genetic big data, diagnosis and treatment know-hows from medical institutions, the entire nation will be able to provide personalized precision treatment and prevention in the future. EDGC will help preparting a healthy 100-year life by identifying risks in early stages.” said Shin Sang-cheol, co-president of EDGC.

Meanwhile, EDGC participated in the International Conference for High Performance Computing (SC19) in November with Hewlette Packard Enterprise to jointly announce the results of its research on high-performance computing (HPC) based liquid biopsy. The company was selected as the main conductor of precision health research on mild conigine inpairment service platform organized by Ministry of Health and Welfare. EDGC is currently developing new business models by cooperating with various projects at home and aboard.
