SolGent, an affiliate of EDGC mentioned that its global network will go full operation to respond to urging needs of its new COVID-19 diagnostic kits on 12th.

The global demands for diagnostic kit exploded after the World Health Organization(WHO) declared the current situation as pandemic, the sixth and highest of an alert level on Wednesday. COVID-19 is WHO’s third pandemic, following the Hong Kong flu in 1968, and the swine flu in 2009.

EDGC is negotiating with various countries including the United States, Australia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Germany, United Kingdom, and Estonia.

Among the four local companies that won emergency use approval from KCDC, SolGent is the only one that makes COVID-19 diagnosis kits with self-developed raw materials.

The company highlighted that its state-of-the-art technology and know-how is grafted onto its quality management which is proven by obtaining ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and KGMP, Korea Good Manufacturing Practice.
